Denman is one of the Principal townships in the Shire and is located within 3 hours of Sydney and a little over 1 hours drive from Newcastle. Located on The Golden Highway and a gateway towards the western regions of NSW. With a Poplulation over 1800, the town is nestled in a rich and prospus wine and equine region. The township began in the 1830's and before this was the home of the Wonnarua Peoples and Kamilaroi's. A sporting town boasting some eviable facilities, with Ovals, Pools, Indoor facilities Squash, Basket Ball and a Golf course. Some brilliant Winerys are dotted around the region and the scenic beautty of the Wollemi and the Gollburn River National Parks are all close by.
